Creekside Artists Guild—A local artists group!
Art for Life Foundation: The Art for Life Foundation keeps an ongoing exhibit of children’s art in our library. This is a permanent exhibit with rotating art every three months. Most of the art comes from children at Children’s Hospital in Oakland.
How to Display Art
The historic City of Clayton and the Clayton Community Library Foundation hope that the Clayton Community Library will be a cultural stimulus to our community on many levels, one of which is art. We are seeking local artists who might be interested in displaying their work in our Library. Following are the criteria:
- All work needs to be hangable, e.g. paintings, photography, stained glass, framed silk, ceramics, tapestries/weavings, wooden plates and bowls, etc.
- All work will be displayed for up to a two month period.
- All work must be original by submitting artist.
- Please contact the Creekside Artists Guild to make a submission.
If you are interested, please submit photos of the work you wish displayed. Your name, address, phone number, and the size and medium of the work should be clearly printed on each photo. We would normally display only one or two pieces at a time, but we would like to keep the remaining photos on file for future use. Color photocopies or scans of photos are also acceptable.
We have special interest in art work dealing with Clayton or its surrounding area.
